Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent is required

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

  • Ability to stay driven while working remotely. Possess an understanding of all applicable electrical codes.

  • 1-2 years of experience in mechanical, electrical and instrumentation field

  • 1-2 years of experience in field service work.

  • Successfully Pass and obtain DOT Certification.

  • Successfully Pass and obtain DISA Certification.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Sales/service prospecting experience

Preferred Qualification

 

  • 3-5 years of experience in mechanical, electrical and instrumentation field work.

Our client, an industry leader in manufacturing BMS, Compressors and environmental equipment is looking for motivated and qualified VRU technician that will be able to installs, commissions, maintains, and provides training for various types of gas and oil production and processing equipment, including vapor recovery units, other rotary equipment, and ECD’s & Burner Management systems in a field environment while being directly responsible for job safety and completion. Will also be responsible for assisting in aftermarket service sales and will have a key role in identifying new business.

Essential Job Functions

 

  • Supports a philosophy of zero accidents by following all applicable safety procedures and maintaining equipment to operate in the safest way possible

  • Responsible for installation and repair of electrical, electronic, and pneumatic components on combustor packages, vapor recovery units, compression units, generator units, pump units, ignition systems and air fuel ration systems.

  • Troubleshooting of electrical control panels, generator control panels, generators, and switchgears.

  • Inspect existing control panels to insure proper function and application.

  • Installation and startup of equipment.

  • Provide remote technical support to field operatives.

  • Assist Field Service crews with equipment repairs and maintenance as needed.

  • Maintain paperwork and field tickets for billing purposes.

  • Testing of rotating equipment in shop prior to delivery to customers.

  • Job requires travel and some out-of-town stay.

  • Flexibility to work hours necessary to meet customer requirements.

  • Works closely with Customers to ensure job satisfaction.

  • Maintains Company truck and ensures all required maintenance is performed.

  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and rules.

  • Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Position is 80% outside environment. Worker is subjected to weather elements and must be accustomed to performing tasks in potentially adverse conditions.
